Nothing New

Hi! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We don't have anything new to share. Just wanted to come on here and let you all know where we are at now. We still have to contact our agency and turn in one more form. THEN we will have some news. Just wanted you all to know that despite the most recent loss, this adoption is still ON and we are just as excited about it as before!

Will update again once we hear back from our agency!

Adoption Timeline

November 1, 2011: Started thinking about adoption

November 2 & 3: Adoption weighed heavily on my heart with each passing day. The more I read about it the greater my desire to adopt became.

November 4, 2011: Shared adoption idea with Josh. Agreed we would both pray about it and see what the Lord led us to do.

November 6, 2011: Before church that morning I prayed for confirmation. I could feel in my heart adoption was the something God wanted to do but I wanted to be sure. Right before service started I told Josh what I had prayed and asked him to be in agreement with me. 15 minutes into church we had been given so many confirmations I was in tears! James 1:27 was one of them. Now just praying about "When", "What country?" and "What agency?"

November 7, 2011: Researched lots of different countries and agencies. Submitted a pre-app to an agency to see what countries we qualify for.

November 16, 2011: Heard back about pre-app. According to the estimate we gave our agency, we make $700 to little to qualify for adoption. Good thing it was an estimate, once we looked at pay stubs we realized our guess was off by about $2,000 (so we made more than the minimum.) So once I let the agency know we should be pre-approved!!
